OK, lets say you have everything it takes to run your own business, you got a good idea or service, and you think there is a market for it… NOW the hard part, advertise it!! Advertising can be very expensive and in a heartbeat you could be spending a lot, but a lot of money without knowing. Here are some tips and ideas to advertise for free.
First step is to develop a STORY. What is it that makes your REMARKABLE? different and above all UNIQUE?
What niche are you going to target? You need to have an answer to all this questions before you begin advertising!

Open accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Hi5, MySpace and any other social network. Invite friends and family members to this mini sites and let them know about your ideas! They will be happy to help and as long as they talk to ONE of their friends about your company is worthy to have them on your side.

Go to vistaprint.com and get a bunch of FREE stuff, Business cards, Brochures, Flyers, Postcards, Notepads, Rubber-stamps, and much more! No affiliate, just a very happy customer.
OK you got your print material… Get out and bring business cards and flyers with you. Go to Walmart, Starbucks and Schools, post a flyer on their boards at the entrance and talk to as many as you can, don’t forget to give them a business card.

Yahoo is also a good place to begin, they also have mini sites and I believe the yearly rate is less than $15
Have some FREE samples of your work with your signature… Let’s say your are photographer, give FREE wallet pictures with your signature. Be sure that proud parents will be your FREE advertisers.

* You ca n invest some money on shirts and give them to clients, the will be walking catalogues.
